Hi! My name is Sam Sterk. Allow me to introduce myself:
I’m an audio engineer based out of the booming metropolis (sarcasm alert) of Waupun, WI. Waupun deems itself as a “city of sculpture”, and also houses three large prisons. I’ve spent most of my life here (not in the prisons) and enjoy living in a slower-paced and community-oriented town.
I’ve always had an interest in the recording process. To me, there’s something amazing about capturing that musical moment onto a medium and it lasting forever. This interest led me on a unforgettable path.
As I’ve said, I’ve spent most of my life here, but the part of my life that wasn’t in Waupun was spent in Nashville, TN. I went to Middle Tennessee State University, a college that specializes in the audio industry and recording. While there, I learned the tools of the trade, took some fantastic classes, and learned from some of the best in the industry.
I interned at a studio in Nashville where I continued to learn from the best. I made some contacts and continued to record local artists as well as several live shows.
I loved Nashville, but the road I was on led me and my family back to Wisconsin. Now that I’m here I’ve met some great musicians, have a fantastic sounding recording space, and a passion to make songs the best they can be.
